Tom Brady ($8,500) Listen I know that’s a lot for a QB and he’s playing a great defense this week…..but the guy is averaging 27.5 points a game this year. He hasn’t scored less than 25.7 points yet. He’s 5 points per game ahead of the next best QB (that’s the difference in making money or being sad.)
Carson Palmer ($6,700) DKs still hasn’t adjusted his value to the top tier QB that he is this year! I’ve won something every week that I’ve played him. He averages 22.2 per game and he’s going against the Ravens abysmal pass defense.
I’m not touching the GB running back situation right now. I’m not saying Lacy will comeback and I’m not saying Starks is worth the start. There’s too much volatility over there. Do you know why? Because at the end of the day, you could be the starting RB and they’d win 9 games. ARodg is just that good, so we’ll leave this alone.
Devonta Freeman ($7,900) Unlike Carson, DKs have definitely adjusted his cost to reflect his output. There’s nothing to say about this guy that you don’t already know. He’s a TD MACHINE, 9 in four games. He’s also catching a bunch of balls out of the backfield, which definitely helps in a PPR, averaging 6 catches a game over the past 4 contests. Do it.
Doug Martin ($4,900) This isn’t because he had 3TDs last week, but it sure doesn’t hurt his cause. His value skyrocketed when he finally separated himself from the TB running back pack (bye Charles Sims.) He’s coming off of back to back 100 yard games, catching 4 balls a game during those contests. I’d say expect a good 20 point performance from the Muscle Hamster this week vs. the Skins D.
Antonio Brown is an absolute no go until Big Ben is back and healthy. For 38 games in a row he caught a minimum 5/50…..no one could stop him until Mike Vick came along. So as long as he’s catching balls from Vick/Jones, stay away from his high purchase price.
DeAndre Hopkins ($8,600) Nuk has set the world on fire and he cannot be stopped. The PPR machine his put up 28 points a game by catching balls from Hoyer/Mallett (HOW!?). You’ll get 8 points from his catches alone. If you want a good line up, he should be in it.
Rishard Matthews ($4,300) New Coach Dan Campbell seems to know what he’s doing with the weapons he was given. Tannehill looked like the Tannehill of 2014 last week. Take away Rishard’s 1 catch game vs the Jets and he’s averaging 20 points per game. Definitely a great flex/WR 3 play.
Rob Gronkowski ($8,100) No one is safer or more expensive as Gronk. His usage has been down the past couple of weeks but I can see his services being needed vs. a strong Jets D.
Antonio Gates ($5,000) How old is he? Like really, the man is playing like he’s 25 again. God bless the Oakland soul that has to try and guard him. After serving his suspension he’s averaging 9 catches 90 yards and a TD. IN.SANE.
Seahawks DST ($3,800) I know I know, they’re not your slightly older brother’s Seahawks team….but they’re still the Seahawks. They’re averaging in the double digits and facing a miserable SF offense.
Buccaneers DST ($2,600)/Redskins DST ($2,500) Take your pick. The QBs in these games are turnover tornados. They both might be colorblind (can’t tell what jersey color to throw to.) If you need to save money in the D section to buy someone like Nuk Hopkins, either of these should do.
