HALL'S CALLS: WEEK 9 FANTASY REPORT

QB

SAFE | Tom Brady ($8,500)

This might be the first time a QB is worth this much money. He’s yet to score under 25 points in a game. A middle of the road Redskins defense doesn’t stand a chance in Foxborough.

VALUE | Jay Cutler ($5,200)

He’s been on fire since he’s returned to action (7 total Tds to just 2 INTs.) Forte went down last week so the Bears will rely on Cutler to find their remain weapons, Alshon & Marty B. Keep in mind this game vs. the Chargers will likely be a shoot out.

RB

SAFE | Todd Gurley ($6,900)

The next coming of Adrian Peterson. Don’t believe me? Just ask some of AP’s teammates who are giving those exact props to TG30.  Do you know when you’re in someone’s head? When they’re comparing you to their teammate (a surefire Hall of Famer) just days before you face them. He’s averaged 141 YPG since he’s gotten starter carries. Gurley is a must start until he’s stopped.

VALUE | Jeremy Langford ($4,000)

San Diego has a bad defense. Lankford will get the three-down role. He shredded in college (1,522 yds 22tds at 5.5 avg his JR year). At $4K why not give a shot to a hungry kid who’s trying to prove himself in his 1st career start?

WR

SAFE | Odell Beckham Jr. ($8,800)

He’s had a couple of hiccup games in year two but the targets are there (9 per game). When the targets are there, the yards will come. Tampa is ranked 29th vs. WRs in fantasy. If he even does half of what he did vs. the Saints, it’ll be a good day.

VALUE | Stevie Johnson ($3,200)

This could be the best value of the year. Keenan Allen is done for the year with a lacerated kidney. While sad for Keenan, this means his 11 targets a game are up for grabs. Michael Floyd may be good, but Stevie Johnson is the real #1 out of the two. Phillip Rivers is on pace to throw for over 5,600 yards this year… they have to go to someone.

TE

SAFE | Rob Gronkowski ($8,000)

There’s nothing that needs to be said at this point. He’s averaging 22.7 per contest and the Redskins do not have ANYONE on that defense that can guard this beast. Worth the cost.

VALUE | Jordan Reed ($4,500)

The Redskins will go down big, quick. They will need to throw the whole game to keep up/catch up. Reed is Cousins favorite target and is averaging 10 targets a game. Last weeks two TD game could be a sign of things to come.

DST

SAFE | Falcons DST ($3.400)

They’re playing against Blaine Gabbert.

VALUE | Eagles DST ($2,700)

Averaging 10.3 fantasy PPG so far this year and they’re licking their chops to get at Matt Cassel.
