We had the top fantasy WR & TE called for you last week, hope you took that to the bank! A fun, extra pick that I'll offer up this week before we get into the usual stuff is Texans WR Will Fuller. He's RACKING up the yards on a limited amount of touches. He's made some good CB's look bad in his two weeks of playing time, including All-Pro Marcus Peters. He could be a fun, cheap pick to route for on the Thursday night game ($4,800). Enough about bad Thursday Night Football, lets get to the Hall's Calls for week 3!
Safe- Cam Newton ($7,800)
What if I told you that you could get a player that will guarantee 40 yards rushing, 200 yards passing and 2TDs.....well you basically have him. OC Mike Shula said they feel comfortable running him 7-8x a game. Sounds GREAT to us.
Value- Philip Rivers ($6,700)
He's definitely not a sexy pick, but he sure has some upside attached to his name. The only reason he didn't have more gaudy numbers last week is b/c they blew out the Jags. Look for a shoot out vs. Andrew Luck and the Colts, and Rivers has the pocket presence to pick apart a bad Colts defense with zero pass rush.
Safe- Melvin Gordon ($5,800)
Let's get weird and take a chance on two value picks at RB. MG will have an even heavier load now that Danny Woodhead is out of the picture. The Colts rank 32nd vs. RBs, so take the free points.
Value- Isaiah Crowell ($4,800)
Crowell is officially the "workhorse" in Cleveland and they NEED it. They're going on their 6th QB in 6 weeks, dating back to last season. He's the only bit of stability they have. Look for him to get his touches vs. a meh Dolphins team.
Safe- Kelvin Benjamin ($7,200)
He's seeing over 10 targets a game and making the most out of it. The Vikings D is good but Kelvin is simply too big and too strong for single coverage. The can't stop both Greg & Kelvin...we think they're shooting for Greg.
Value- Stefon Diggs ($5,100)
Don't forget that we were EARLY on the Diggs train. Way before he started getting compared to Moss. His DK salary hasn't adjusted yet, so even if you only get 15 points....he's worth it!
Safe- Jordan Reed ($6,500)
He's bound to pop. He has a TE high of 18 targets over the first two weeks and has a favorable matchup vs. a Giants team that he's torched in the past (200 yards, 14 receptions over two games last year).
Value- Jacob Tamme ($3,200)
We'll spare you another Ebron pick. A lot of slim pickings at the bottom of the TE pool. Tamme has the hot hand, averaging about 15 points per game this year. He'll be on MNF vs a susceptible Saints D. Take a shot if you're tired of picking Reed or Olsen.
Safe- Cardinals DST ($3,600)
They put up 23 points last week with 4 Ints & a TD. Take that hot hand vs. an iffy Bills offense.
Value- Rams DST ($3,000)
They will live and die by their defense this year. They managed to get 11 points off of a conservative Russ Wilson & co last week. Jameis is a lot of things, but conservative is not one of those things. This could go either way. The Rams could get 4 ints or give up 4 TDs. I'm leaning towards the Ints.
