Looking around the league for the safest plays and best values for your Week 8 #DraftKings lineup!
Safe- Tom Brady ($7,500)
3 TDs and 326 yards last week. Is Rodgers back? We hope so. The Falcons are a below average unit against the pass allowing 294 yards per game this year, and with no real RB, the Packers are going to be pass heavy. Go get 'em, Aaron.
Value- Jameis Winston ($5,700)
You always roll the dice when you roll with Famous Jameis. On a good day, he'll light up a team for 300 yards and 4 TDs. On a bad day, well... let's just say you won't win money. Seeing how the Raiders are ranked dead last on defense and giving up 302 yards per game through the air, let's hope for a good day for Jameis.
Safe- Ezekiel Elliott ($7,200)
This man shredded the stingiest run D in the game for 157 yards last week. What makes you think that their division rivals can do any better? While the Eagles have been amazing against the pass, they are middle of the road in terms of run defense. All aboard the Elliott Express all the way to a rushing title!
Value- Devontae Booker ($3,700)
This CJ Anderson back up is about to get his time to shine. With CJ hitting IR, Booker is a tremendous value for the price and will be active in Kubiak's offense this week. The Broncos can't win against by throwing it 50x with Siemian - we know that. In his limited action, Booker is boasting an impressive YPC average, going 46 yards on 5 carries two weeks ago against Joey Bosa's Chargers.
Safe- AJ Green ($8,800)
The man is a monster. Josh Norman will be playing in Wembley on Sunday, but he doesn't shadow the team's best WR, so go Aj.
Value- Ty Montgomery ($5,300)
I hope you used the advice last week and took him when he was $2,300 cheaper. I still believe he's undervalued in this PPR league. Look for another 10 Rodgers to Montgomery dump offs this week.
Safe- Bobby Gronkowski ($7,200)
Since Brady's been back, Gronk's average stat line looks like this: 5 catches 121 yards .7 TDs. 'Nuff said.
Value- Travis Kelce ($4,900)
He's about to have his bounce back game. Leave it to the Colts' swiss cheese defense (ranked 27th against TEs) to facilitate this.
Safe- Broncos DST ($3,700)
I'm actually not feeling safe about any defense this week. Rivers always seems to put up points. However, I am not comfortable with taking the Seahawks against Drew Brees and New Orleans, nor the Eagles against Dallas (I'm terrified of Zeke). Alas, Denver is probably your safest bet in terms of big name defenses.
Value- Chiefs DST ($2,800)
I still think Andew Luck will end up with a good-looking stat line but I believe the Chiefs defense walks out of this one with at least 2 turnovers and a couple of sacks.
