HALL'S CALLS WEEK FOUR

September 28, 2018

Hello, thanks for coming back! Honestly, I don't feel great about the #DFS prices and match ups this week, so much so that I won't be putting down any money and punting week four away like a Michael Dickson coffin corner.

If you do play, this is what I would consider:

QB:

Safe- Drew Brees ($6,600)

You rarely see a quarterback put up 40+ points and then get listed for less than $7K the week after. Breesus is averaging 360 yards and 3 TDs per game and I can’t imagine the mediocre Giants defense being able to slow this down.

Value- Matt Ryan ($6,100)

Last week I told you to take Cam vs. the Bengals defense and he LIT THEM UP! That’s who Matt Ryan will face at home, in the dome. Ryan is averaging 35 fantasy points per game over his last two home games.

RB:

Safe- Melvin Gordon ($8,300)

The Chargers offense is not the reason that they’re 1-2. Seventh in the league in points scored through three weeks and Gordon is responsible for four of those scores. They face the 49ers at home who are abysmal against running backs catching the ball. They’ve allowed the third-most receptions to RBs so far.

Value- Sony Michel ($4,500)

Nine of the top 15 RBs have a listed injury this week, so this could prove to be tricky. The Patriots have officially placed two running backs on IR and the rookie could benefit from more touches. They are facing the Dolphins (26th vs RBs), who they averaged 27 points per game against last year.

WR:

Safe- Mike Evans ($7,900)

The Bears aren’t great at stopping WRs (20th) and Fitzpatrick just set the record for three straight 400 yard games to start a season. Evans is getting 10 targets a game and has scored every week. Let the FitzMagic roll on at least one more week!

Value- Calvin Ridley ($4,900)

Ridley is not being picked because of his incredible week three performance, though that doesn’t hurt. He’s a talented rookie receiver who’s building a great rapport with a hot Matt Ryan and taking advantage of Julio Jones double teams. Rookies tend to play better at home and that’s where the Falcons are for the third straight week.

TE:

Safe- Zach Ertz ($6,200)

If there’s anything that Carson Wentz loves more than wholesome family values or warm milk, it’s Zach Ertz. Wentz connected to Ertz all three times for their opening TD drive last week. Ertz is the most talented healthy receiver on the Eagles and has received double digit targets every week so far.

Value- OJ Howard ($3,500)

We’d feel a little better if we knew Fitzpatrick was starting week four (he is), but there’s huge upside with OJ at this price. He’s already halfway to his rookie receiving yards total from last year and shows no signs of slowing down.

DST:

Safe- Jaguars DST ($4,100)

Getting to the QB and giving up less than 15 points per game, that’s what Sacksonville does. Not confident that Sam Darnold can put up decent stats when he’s throwing from his butt.

Value- Seahawks DST ($3,200)

Rookie QB Josh Rosen is not facing the original Legion of Boom, but this defense needs to be taken seriously. Seven interceptions and eight sacks through three games is impressive and daunting for someone’s first start in the NFL.
